ABOUT
Tanya Katoch is the British Asian founder and curator behind Future Rhythms, a West Midlands based independent music platform operating internationally, born in 2013 from a simple belief: the world is inherently abundant, scarcity is merely a system, not a truth.
Tanya channels past experiences into dismantling barriers for overlooked artists. With a background spanning regional, national and grassroots international radio, from Hong Kong Community Radio (HKCR) to BBC Asian Network, she has spent over a decade developing Future Rhythms with an insider understanding of how both grassroots movements and established media institutions work — learning the architecture well enough to ensure resources reach artists and communities that are overlooked.
Future Rhythms, care-led and transcultural, amplifies innovative, boundary-pushing sounds and the artists making them at the margins — platforming voices that exist outside of commercial structures.
Funded by Arts Council England (2021-2022), Tanya continues to develop Future Rhythms through intentional partnerships with artists, grassroots communities and organisations worldwide.
